Sort every item you might perform or play:

Downstream risks beyond "will I get muted?"

Build tiers with the full lifecycle in mind:

• Muting / interruption during LIVE — mid-song silence destroys trust; plan setlists that survive a mute
• Replays — a LIVE that was "fine" live may still create replay or archive issues
• Clips — growth clips (MU-06) can spread a rights problem faster than the LIVE itself
• Promotional use — ads, boosted posts, or paid promo can change what a casual license allowed

Safer (for now) — You have a clear, current reason this is your lowest practical risk for your use case (e.g., original you control with no uncleared samples; explicitly LIVE-cleared license you have on file). Still not a lawyer's blessing — a working default.

Ask-first — Plausible path exists (publisher contact, cover platform, license upgrade, co-writer confirmation) but you have not finished it. Do not schedule as a featured climax until resolved — or replace with a safer alternate.

Avoid (for now) — Unknown ownership, obvious commercial hit with no clearance path, platform library sound assumed "okay for LIVE," beat packs with contradictory terms, anything you would hate to defend if muted mid-show.

Write one evidence line per song: "original, no samples," "cover — no license yet," "TikTok Commercial Sound — not for LIVE per July 2026 review note," "karaoke bed — personal-use license only."

Safer Defaults Decision Card (in-the-moment)

Before playing or accepting a request:
